Black / white cutoff

Anything darker than the cutoff becomes ink. Invert for white-on-dark artwork — in Line art it turns the drawing inside out for engraving on dark material: open regions filled, lines and shaded parts clear, the outside edge drawn as a line.

Shade cutoff

The picture is cut into regions along its colour edges. Every region is outlined, and a region whose darker side falls below the shade cutoff is filled in. Despeckle sets the smallest region kept. Fill enclosed holes treats paper inside the shape — a hole, the counter of a letter — as part of it, which matters with Invert. The B&W view shows the regions.

The SVG imports straight into Tinkercad, LightBurn, Cricut Design Space & Inkscape. PNG and JPG are rendered at the trace size; PNG keeps the transparent background, JPG is flattened onto white. Browsers only allow PNG on the clipboard, so JPG is a download.
