Scale together — one size pulls the other with it

Typing a height or a width scales the whole curve to hit it; typing a capacity scales it in every direction at once, so a mug that holds 11 can be told to hold 12 without changing its shape. These are the finished sizes — what comes out of the glaze fire.

Shrinkage is wet to fired — about 12% for mid-fire stoneware, more for porcelain. It is what stands between the pot on screen and the size the rib has to be cut. Wall and floor set what it holds and what it weighs. Glaze only changes the picture, as does the clay body under the pot — neither reaches the rib.

Skin: — to cover. Filled to the very brim it takes — — the headline figure leaves somewhere to put your lip, which is how mugs are sized.

The SVG carries real millimetres, so it lands at true size in Illustrator, Inkscape or a cutter's own software — never let anything scale it to fit the page. Black is the cut, orange the engraving. The STL is the same rib for a printer: thickness is the slider above, and the working edge tapers to a thin land on both faces, like a bought rib. It arrives standing the way it prints, label embossed — and the hole rises to a point so its roof never prints over air. The 3MF is that same rib dropped into a Bambu Studio project with the print settings already set: open it and slice. Share, at the top, sends this pot exactly as it is on screen, saved or not — every point, its clay and its engraving — so whoever receives it can cut or print the rib at their end. Rib settings that arrive in a link are used for that shape only, and never replace the ones saved here unless you choose to keep them.
